What I see for Prince George’s County

I am in this race because I’m committed to my vision for Prince George’s County.

When I look at the over 22,000 businesses founded in our county in 2022, I think about the vibrancy these new enterprises, large and small, have brought to our region. If you want it, our county has it, and I want to keep these cornerstones of our community here and encourage more economic prosperity.

Our businesses need a world-class workforce, and Prince George’s County schools will be up to the task, with a budget to prepare teachers and their students for the work ahead within a safe environment. Our county offers many opportunities to apply what students learn in the classroom, and I want to leverage those opportunities to prepare them for 21st-century jobs.

I don’t want to take up too much more of your time, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that public safety is my priority, with a focus on prevention and protection. It begins with creating opportunity and addressing the root causes of crime. I think we’re also due for a regional approach to crime prevention, so I intend to introduce legislation to establish a Regional Public Safety Council to work with our partners in neighboring jurisdictions.

Join me in creating a brighter future and help power my campaign across the finish line with a contribution. You can give online HERE or send a check made payable to Calvin Hawkins for County Executive to my team at 17 W. Courtland Street, Suite 210, Bel Air, MD 21014.
